About

Mulberry Community Gardens is a project of 21st Century Gardens, a local Fort Collins 501(c)3 non-profit.

Our Mission
The mission of Mulberry Community Gardens is to educate and engage the community through hands-on organic gardening opportunities for youth and adults; to provide an inclusive and community-centered environment to share information, materials, plants and technical assistance; and to practice and promote a “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” philosophy to carry out all of our objectives.

Our Philosophy
Mulberry Community Gardens is a communal gardening spot and neighborhood area where all are encouraged to participate in growing food, helping neighbors, and inspiring other to become more involved with their natural surroundings. Mulberry Community Gardens is located on a one acre plot with two gardens, native food plants, a neighborhood compost drop off and pick up site, goats, chickens, and children play area.
Mulberry Community Gardens works in collaborations with other non-profits to address local food security and environmental issues; local businesses that support our mission and provide us with donations such as fruit trees and compost, and the Poudre School District, which enables us to reach younger community members and provide educational enrichment programs. It is with the support that Mulberry Community Gardens is able to be viable and provide the best services to our community.

      Hi Abigail,
So sorry for the slow reply. We are a communal style garden where we all work together (and play and eat and generally have fun together). If you would like to check us out sometime go to our FaceBook page and sign up for our newsletter. You will receive a weekly newsletter (Tues about 10am) with our garden hours for the week. They fluctuate based on our rotating irrigation schedule, weather, needs…you know, the usual garden variable. We’d love to have you join in!
